Exhaust Wraps and Heat Shields by Thermal Control Products
Thermal Control Products offers three different types of thermal wraps to act as heat shields to reduce under hood temperatures and to provide ultimate heat protection for engine components. In addition, Thermal Wraps and Heat Shields are commonly used on motorcycles, atv’s, go-carts and generators for personal protection from hot exhaust pipe burns.
Thermal Control Wraps are available in 3 different continual usage temperatures.
1) Our fiberglass thermal heat shield performs at 1,000 degree F continuous temp rating.
2) The “volcano wrap” which is made from a filament Basalt fiber, performs at 1200 degrees F continuous temperature rating.
3) For even hotter surface temperatures, Thermal Control Products recommends a Silica Wrap which will offer a continuous usage temperature of 1,800 degrees F.
All three types of heat shield wraps are offered in 1” and 2” widths, lengths of 25’ or 50’. The Heat shield wraps are easily installed with the use of 2 stainless steel tie wraps.
